Hi there, welcome to D-LAB Mobile Detailing!

My name is Dexter Sandford; owner of D-LAB, car fanatic, and undeniable detailing nerd. After completing my business degree and working in commercial finance for over a decade, I realized that the corporate world did not align with my true values or entrepreneurial spirit. I decided it was time to get back to my roots and a lifelong passion for anything on wheels, and D-LAB Mobile Detailing was born.

Growing up in Kelowna, I caught the car detailing bug in high school, when I started my first job detailing cars at a local dealership. In addition to having an amazing mentor, I took to online detailing forums, websites, etc. and learned all there was to know about detailing, which has continued to this day. From these beginnings, my passion for detailing cars has grown and I have discovered the true satisfaction that comes from bringing so much life back into a vehicle. Even better than that is seeing the reaction clients have when they see their freshly detailed vehicle looking better than they ever thought possible. 

In my spare time I can be found on some sort of crazy adventure, whether it’s a multi-day backcountry splitboarding trip, a multi-month road trip across the west coast in our campervan, or a journey through Alaska, the Yukon, and the NWT to the Arctic Ocean in our Land Cruiser.
